I would like to attend USC, which is the University of Southern California. I would like to attend that university because it focuses on the subjects that I want to study, which are either mass communication or business. My older sister got accepted to this school, so I would like to get accepted there as well. It is a well ranked school in the United States. I like the location of it, which is in Los Angeles California. A college degree would be important to my future because it looks good on my record and I would learn a lot more while I'm there.

1. What does the video say about how media influence works on individual people?
The media can influence us in many different ways whether it is good or bad. It can be good because we find out news that goes around all over the world. It helps us communicate with our friends, family, and different other people. It can be bad for us because we get distracted with different types of medias such as televisions, and cellphones. We communicate socially and physically with people less and that effects us in a bad way because we aren't opening up to the real world outside,
 
 
Then we will watch this video on 21st century social media trends.

2. What is your favorite fact pointed out in the video? Explain why this fact is important or interesting to you?
My favorite part of the video was just the increase and change that Facebook has had through out the years. It is crazy to know how many people post pictures, comments, and other things into Facebook. It is also crazy to know how Facebook has grown through out the year because it simply started as a page that wasn't that popular when it first started and now it is very popular and everyone around the world uses it.









Media is the main means of mass communication (esp. television, radio, newspapers, and the internet) regarded collectively.
MULTIMEDIA is the combination of one or more media.

•       When text, still images, sound, video, and animation are combined that is an example of multimedia.

•       The most recognizable form of multimedia is the World Wide Web.

3. How is multimedia effecting our daily lives? Do you think there such a thing as "too much media" in our lives?
I think it is effecting us in a good but also a bad way like I had mentioned on the first question. People today don't socialize as much as they used to in the past. I don't think that there is "too much media" because the type of media that we have today helps us out a lot by discovering different types of things such as news, people, population, jobs, and it helps teens and adults in their daily lives with the work that they/we have to do.

Assignment 2

1. What media is used in my everyday life?
The media that I use in my everyday life would have to be the radio, I listen to it all the time in the car, television, once in a while, the internet on my phone plus on the computer to text message, use Facebook, Instagram and along with that, use it for school work.

2. In what ways have I used multimedia for a class assignment before? 

I have used my cellphone for different types of projects or to take notes and sometimes when my teachers let me, I am able to listen to music as well. I have also used it in this class with the different power points or presentations that I have had to done for example the screenshot presentation that we did last week.

3. Explain how the World Wide Web is considered multimedia.

So first of all, the World Wide Web is what combines text, images and time-based media in a network of pages connected by links. This is considered as multimedia because it includes technology like cellphones, TV's and different types of sources that make it be considered multimedia. What we see on videos, like YouTube, is considered multimedia to the fact that it connects links and texts that are being shown.

4. What is the difference between time-based media and static-media? Give examples of each.

Time-based media is media in which exhibits some change over time which means that it goes on like videos and static media is the complete opposite. An example of each would be time-based media being videos and animations. On the other hand, static media would be pictures.

 5. Insert a video (into your blog) that discusses/shows/involves multimedia you are interested in. Now answer the following questions after you insert the video. How is this multimedia? Why does this interest you?

This is multimedia because it shows me the process of it. It doesn't just do that, but it defines what multimedia is. This interests me because I think multimedia is important in today's society and we should all know what it is. Define the following terms by researching for answers on the World Wide Web. 

6. Adobe Flash- Adobe Flash is a multimedia and software platform used for authoring of vector graphics, animation, games and rich Internet applications that can be viewed, played and executed in Adobe Flash Player.
7. Programming Languages-  is a language designed for programming computers
8. Scripting Language (program)-  Programming language that adds functionality to a web page. Examples are: PHP, Perl and C++.
9. Interactivity-  this is the type of media that we have access to being able to change or needs a human being to help and make the media work. An example would the World Wide Web. We as humans need to type words and things to be able to go to the pages that we want to get to.
10. Pixel- is the basic unit of programmable color on a computer display or in a computer image
